Quality Management System

Sugita Wire, Ltd. acquired QS 9000 and ISO 9001 certifications in 1999 as quality management system standards for all of our product lines. In fiscal year 2005, Sugita Wire had a transition from the QS 9000 standard to ISO/TS16949: 2002 certification, a higher system required by the automobile industry. Sugita has continuously been kept holding the ISO 9001: 2000 certification status also. Over years, Sugita Wire had established the "Sugita's original quality system" in which original process design and stringent quality control are installed over the concept of world' standard ISO/TS 16949, and ISO 9001. The collaboration of these quality control systems and our newly build IT based internal production management systems etc., will further enhance and expand the Sugita's potential and flexibility for future.

Environmental Management System

Sugita Wire has always prioritized our business activities with a "Thought for Environment" in all aspects. The high-quality steel wire produced by Sugita is playing an important role in minimizing the chips and heat energy conventionally produced in the forming process for parts at customers' sites.

Since1970, Sugita Wire has endeavored to recycle waste sulfuric acid produced during steel wire making in effort of saving resources. Sugita Wire was successful in commercializing the inorganic polymer coagulant (chemical product name: Poritetsu), and has been supplying Poritetsu to the market as Sugita product for over 40 years. It may be even fair to say that all Sugita's products are "Eco-friendly".

Sugita started its effort to obtain ISO 14001 from the beginning of 2001, and was certified in January 2002. Having certification of ISO 14001 as our foothold, Sugita Wire, Ltd. will further strengthen its efforts for the environment and consider business on a global scale.
